Dr. Richard A. Kapitan
Dr. Kapitan is a is a partner in Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of OMS, and a Fellow of the American Association of OMS. His practice focuses on dental implant reconstruction, cleft lip/palate surgery, orthognathic surgery, and facial trauma repair. He is the founder and Director of the EnvisionTM Implant Continuum, and the Carolinas Center for Cleft Lip & Palate Surgery, and Co-Founder of Envision Practice Consultants.
Dr. Kapitan’s extensive experience in full-arch dental implant reconstruction has led to local and national lecture and clinical instruction opportunities in advanced dental implant surgery and general OMS topics. In addition to being a lecturer for Zimmer BioMet’s “Zimmer Institute”, he is also Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at both Louisiana State University and the University of North Carolina.
Internationally, Dr. Kapitan serves on the Board of the Free To Smile Foundation and travels extensively to provide free cleft lip and palate surgeries to children in need around the globe.
